Only genuine batteries are listed: we drop "for DeWalt / compatible / replacement" packs, whose stated capacity is often far above the real one, and capacities the maker does not sell for that platform. Within one platform the price per Ah is a fair comparison; across platforms compare the price per Wh, because an Ah of a 12V pack holds less energy than an Ah of an 18V or 40V pack. High-output packs (Milwaukee High Output and Forge, DeWalt PowerStack, FlexVolt, Ryobi HP) deliver more power to demanding tools at a higher price per Ah.
How this table works
We collect Buy It Now listings from eBay US several times a day in the Power Tool Batteries category, filtered by the maker's brand and voltage, and divide the total price, including shipping, by the amp-hours (multi-packs by their total). FlexVolt packs are counted at their 20V rating. We remove chargers, kits with tools, adapters, holders, empty cases, dead or untested packs, aftermarket "compatible" batteries and offers far below every other listing.
